Acupuncture is worth trying because conventional treatment is difficult:
  • Chloasma (tan or dark skin discolorations)
  • Choroidopathy, central serous (non-inflammatory degeneration of choroid/uvea)
  • Colour blindness 
  • Deafness 
  • Hypophrenia (subnormal mentality, feeble-mindedness; feelings of sadness without cause)
  • Irritable colon syndrome 
  • Neuropathic bladder in spinal cord injury 
  • Pulmonary heart disease, chronic 
  • Small airway obstruction 
Acupuncture is worth trying with special monitoring devices:
  • Breathlessness in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
  • Coma 
  • Convulsions in infants 
  • Coronary heart disease (angina pectoris) 
  • Diarrhoea in infants and young children 
  • Encephalitis, viral, in children, late stage 
  • Paralysis, progressive bulbar (degeneration of brainstem & CNs IX, X, XI) and pseudobulbar (damage to the brainstem)
